Trip To Camp

I had a 2000 Dodge Dakota with a 6 1/2 WESTERN UniMount, which was kind of new to the plowing world back then (in 2001).

I had a friend who wanted to get into a camp, but there was one big problem. It had snowed 22 inches the night before. But I said what the hell, and I went for it.

I plowed hard through 3 to 4 miles of narrow road and about 1 hour later the Little Plow and the Dakota did it! I was amazed! The truck worked like a charm. The snow was almost as deep as the blade height, but I put the truck in 4 wheel low and let it do most of the work.

I widened the road enough to be able to push the sides back where I could, which allowed me to keep moving forward and finally make a place to turn around and get some running room for the way out. I thought for sure a tow truck was in my future, but the WESTERN plow and that Dakota pushed through the deep snow better than I thought!

I was truly impressed that day and have used Dodge trucks and WESTERN snow plows ever since that excursion. To this day I have never had any major problems with any WESTERN product that I have purchased. As a matter of fact, I purchased an Ultramount Pro plow in 2008 that I have used on three trucks including my new 2015 Ram 2500. There is no better product out there!
