It was two years ago, and we were out for at least 15 hours at this point. The snow was coming down hard all night! There was about 12 inches on the ground by now and we were expecting at least another 4 or so.
We had about a 20 minute drive to one of our southern lots for our route, but it's a good lot, so it's worth the trip! We were driving for about 20 minutes by now, and the snow was blowing and falling hard when my partner woke from his short nap and then yelled to me to watch out! I was zoned out from the snow falling (I wasn't not asleep at the wheel at all) but there was a car we were just about to plow into it when I had to swerve around it just in time!
It's amazing when you're out that long in heavy falling snow how you can get hypnotized by the snow! I was very thankful to have my partner in the truck and wake up at that very instant. Lesson learned to always be focused on the job, no matter what!
But I can't wait for this season to start again. We have a great time while plowing!
